Rules and Guidelines

Discord Rules

  • Discord is staff’s primary form of communication and is required for all players on the server.

    •  Players may create their own side discords/chats, but must invite a staff member to monitor metagaming if in game activities are discussed.

    •  Once a player leaves the discord, all roles are stripped and the character is considered "dead". If you leave and want to rejoin the community, you must reapply with a new character.

  • We are a 18+ community.

  • We ask that all members of our community remain respectful to their peers and admins. All forms of harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and griefing are prohibited.

  • Advertising another server in any capacity is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and will result in an immediate ban.

  • Using any third party programs to give yourself an advantage over others is prohibited. This includes hacking menus, crosshairs, etc.

  • The staff team reserves the right to permanently ban any individual(s) from the community at any time if they are considered highly disruptive and/or break rules.

  • The staff team reserves the right to randomly select applications for voice interviews.

Every person who joins the discord must react to the rules in said discord in order to unlock more channels. After that the staff recommends that you react to what roles you would like in the roles channel to access the channels you would like to be part of.

Character Creation

  • Inappropriate or non-roleplay friendly names will not be tolerated. Famous, game character, historical, etc. names are prohibited.

  • Character must look realistic - do not make your character too tall, too short, too strange looking. (This depends on the season. Of course if it is high fantasy, this rule does not apply.)

  • Be mindful of creating your character. Everyone has flaws and limitations. A new and upcoming mechanic would seek the help of an elder or experienced mechanic.

In-Game Rules

  • No Fail RP, metagaming, powergaming, retconning, godmodding - please see RP Etiquette for definitions.

  • Do not go AFK for long periods of time. You will be kicked.

  • Exploiting bugs/glitches is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: AFK farming, abusing in-game bugs, etc. THIS IS A BANNABLE OFFENSE.

  • Going OOC (out of character) in the game is strictly prohibited. Voice, notes, chats must all stay in-character.

    • Any out of character (OOC) chat must begin (), [], or any form of showing it is OOC.

      • Example [ooc, dog is barking at the door, one moment]

  • Name Plating – the act of seeing someone’s name hovering above their character and using that to identify them - is strictly prohibited.

Value of Life/New Life Rules

  • Value the life of your character as well as those that your character cares about.

    • You are NOT required to value the life of another character over your own, but be practical as you would care for others to a certain extent.

  • NLR, or New Life Rule, means your character does not remember the situation that led up to your knock out/”death”. You do not remember what happened, who did it, how it occurred, where, etc.

    • NLR does not apply to PVE or friendly spar encounters.

    • Once downed, you are expected to roleplay as injured or sustaining some form of injury

  •  MURDER: Senseless killing does not encourage roleplay. Taking another’s life is a big deal and should be roleplayed as such. There should be valid reasoning behind the murder/assassination with enough planning to back it up.

  • Fear RP: We require our community to participate in Fear RP, a concept that involves your character being afraid to die.

  • NLR begins after you "die" in PvP (if you do not want to result in your character perma-deathing, your character was simply hurt in some way). You must not return to the scene or event leading to you being incapacitated for 10 minutes.

    • If you are healed by a doctor/healer, this rule is halved, making it 5 minutes.

    • Once your 5-10 minutes are up, you can return to the event 3 more times within the hour. On the 4th return, your character is subject to perma due to injuries suffered being too severe.

PVP Rules and Expectations

  • It is required to use proper roleplay initiation before attacking someone.

    • Wait five minutes for a response before fighting to allow ample time for the defender to respond.

      • If there is no response, you are within your rights to attack.

  • All PVP must start with a demand and consequence. There must be a clear way for the opposing side to leave the scenario if they so choose.

    • If they opt to not take it, ignore your demands, or run away, you may pursue.

  • Combat logging is not allowed. Don't put yourself into a situation where you feel you will have to quit halfway through.

    • Combat storing/deleting items to avoid rp scenarios is not allowed.

      • Example: You broke into a house and ran away. The person saw you and is now either going to chase you or report you to authorities. You CANNOT just go throw out the items you obtained, etc without roleplay it out.

        • An example of doing it appropriately may be to hide in a bush/tree nearby.

  • Hostage Guidelines

    • Can only last 60 minutes unless OOC permission is given prior.

    • Hostage perpetrator MUST roleplay with the individual the entire time. You cannot leave them alone for the time and force them to just sit there.

    • Players can opt out at any point if they are busy and let the other party know through OOC chat, but they must log off, This is not a method to deny rp; this is an amendment to let people with lives to be able to leave when needed.

  • KOS (kill on sight) prohibited. This is killing/attempting to kill without intent/reason and roleplay.

  • Players are not permitted to go into another person's house without being invited to do so.

    • Failure to do so is considered a "break in" and break in rules much be followed.

  • You can only raid a player's home/base once every 3 real life days.

    • Create only one-way in or out of the building.

    • You can only break 3 containers in said building.

    • Take only what you can carry. No throwing out what you don't take.

    • Do not 'stoneage' the people you are robbing.

Building Rules

  • Everyone will be starting in the same clan and town. You can build anywhere on the starting island.

    • There will be opportunities to branch out into separate tribes through RP with the clan leader

  • All homes must be fitting of your station in life.

    • If your a peasant then your home should represent that.

  •

  • All Turrets must be set to wild animals only.

  • All bases must be roleplay friendly

    • Try to utilize rooms you'd have in a real house - bathroom, kitchen, etc.

Do not message staff directly for questions, server information, or anything to do with the server. Make a ticket. Discords are personal use for each staff member and we have community channels that allow server members to troubleshoot, ask questions, and make suggestions. If this is not something that can be resolved by the community or through general channels, create at ticket! You may message Velithil for issues that need to kept private or inquiries of possibly reporting a staff member. This is to keep anonymity and not feel forced to report in a place that you could feel attacked.
